Winch is a device that drives the drum and winding rope by manpower or mechanical power to complete the traction work, which is divided into manual and electric devices. It is composed of motor, coupling, brake, gearbox and drum, which are installed on the rack together. Today, we will introduce some details of the lower winch. According to some relevant regulations, the winch must be equipped with a limiter. When the lifting distance of the hook pulley is 300mm from the crane frame, the power supply of the motor can be automatically cut off, and the motor stops running as a protective device to ensure safe use. It is a safety device adopted to prevent collision accidents when the crane approaches the end of the track, or when two cranes collide on the same track. The automatic interlocking device is a type of overhead crane where many bare wires pass through. In order to prevent maintenance personnel from getting electric shock, it is required to install an automatic interlocking device at the entrance of the cabin leading to the driver's compartment. The buffer of the winch is a safety device that absorbs the energy when the crane collides with an object, and acts after the brake and terminal switch of the winch fail. When the winch is connected with the rail end column, ensure that the crane stops smoothly. The brake on the lifting equipment is a device that can stop the lifting equipment from working at any time during lifting, translation, and rotation, and keep the heavy object at any height. It can not only prevent accidents but also meet work requirements.

　　Precautions for winch:

　　1. The steel wire ropes on the drum should be arranged neatly. If overlapping or oblique winding is found, the machine should be stopped and rearranged. It is strictly prohibited to use hands or feet to pull or step on the steel wire rope during rotation. The steel wire rope should not be completely released, and at least three turns should be retained.

      2. The steel wire rope shall not be knotted or twisted. If the wire break exceeds 10% within one pitch, it should be replaced.

      3. No one is allowed to cross the wire rope. After the object is lifted, the operator is not allowed to leave the winch. During rest, objects or hanging cages should be lowered to the ground.

　　4. During the operation, the driver and signalman should maintain good visibility with the lifted object, and the driver and signalman should closely cooperate and obey the unified command of the signal.

　　5. In the event of a power outage, the power should be cut off and the lifting object lowered to the ground.

　　6. Follow the signals of the command personnel. When the signal is unclear or may cause an accident, the operation should be suspended. Only after the situation is clarified can the operation continue.

　　7. After the operation is completed, the material tray should be placed on the ground and the electrical box should be locked.
