Solution to prevent chain hoist from unhooking

  The decoupling phenomenon of chain hoists has not been completely resolved. Many projects have experienced accidents where the hook of the chain hoist suddenly falls off the hook crossbeam during the process. Decoupling generally refers to the screw that fixes the ball on one side of the hook crossbeam has already exited from the screw hole, and the ball has all run out of the ring groove through the screw hole. There are four main solutions to the decoupling phenomenon of the chain hoist mentioned above:

  1. According to the management regulations for lifting tools, conduct a load test on the hand chain hoist with a rated load of 125 times the lifting capacity.

  2. For newly purchased lifting tools such as chain hoists, it is necessary to conduct a comprehensive inspection before putting them into use, especially focusing on the riveting of the screw holes at the end of the hook crossbeam.

  3. When choosing lifting tools such as chain hoists, it is important to purchase qualified products produced by reputable manufacturers.

  4. In order to prevent similar accidents and prevent screws from being withdrawn from the screw hole, in addition to checking the riveting condition of the screw hole opening, the hook crossbeam can also be sealed with tin alloy in the screw hole space at the tail of the screw. According to the above four solutions, carrying out the work of the chain hoist will definitely prevent the chain hoist from unhooking and achieve twice the result with half the effort.
