Scrapping standards for electric hoist wire ropes:

　　1. The electric hoist wire rope is worn and its diameter is reduced. If it exceeds 40% of the wire rope diameter, it should be scrapped.

　　2. During the use of electric hoist wire ropes, the entire strand of the wire rope often breaks or the core of the wire rope is squeezed out, causing structural damage. In this case, the wire rope should be scrapped.

　　3. When the number of broken wires reaches 7-8 within one pitch, they should be scrapped.

　　4. When transporting or lifting metal solutions, hot materials, and steel wire ropes containing acid, flammable, and toxic substances, which have been corroded by chemical media, the steel wire ropes should be scrapped.

　　5. Steel wire ropes that have been overloaded and used shall not be used again. When the appearance of the steel wire rope is severely deformed, the structure is damaged, the rope core is squeezed out or there is obvious shrinkage, and stacking occurs, it should be disposed of as scrap.
