The fixation of the steel wire rope for electric hoists is generally done using the pressing plate method (with no less than 3 pressing plates) or the wedge block method.

　　Safety ring: When the hook is in the lowest working position, at least 2 circles of safety ring should be maintained on the drum (excluding the pressed part of the pressure plate).

　　When installing the steel wire rope fixing clamp, the following points should be noted: the "U" bolt should be fastened to the tail section of the steel wire rope, and the steel wire rope clamp should not be arranged alternately on the steel wire rope. The distance between the rope clamps should be 6-7 times the diameter of the steel wire rope. The rope clamp should be selected based on the nominal diameter of the steel wire rope, and the tightening of the steel wire rope should be smooth, flat, and free of burrs. If there are obvious bright signs of sliding friction on the rope clamp holder, attention should be paid to replacing it.

　　Tightening of wire rope clamp: To ensure uniform force on the fixed end of the wire rope, the rope clamp farthest from the wedge block should be as close as possible to the wedge block. After using the rope clamp for a period of time, the tightening status of the nut should be regularly checked.
