The electric hoist industry is becoming increasingly developed, and many domestic electric hoists have already gone abroad, even comparable to internationally renowned brands of electric hoists. However, there are always shortcomings and defects. Based on the current limit devices used in CD series wire rope hoists, the following defects are summarized, which are also areas that major electric hoist manufacturers need to improve in the future.

　　The limit device currently used in wire rope electric hoists is achieved by the collision between the card on the rope guide and the stop block on the limit stem. This limit device has defects such as low adjustment accuracy and poor sensitivity in practical use. For example, when the hoist sleeve rotates for a lift of 300mm, the axial movement of the rope guide is only 12mm. If the installation position of the wire rope electric hoist is low or the lifting object is high due to environmental limitations, it is difficult to adjust the top dead center, which is prone to situations such as the hook hitting the top.

　　In addition, when the limit device switch of the wire rope hoist is matched with the rope guide, once the rope guide is damaged, the limit switch will also lose its function. The above limit devices have reduced the safety of electric hoists, but due to production technology limitations, they still need to be gradually improved.
